About Chris Norton
I trained at the Birmingham School of Podiatry and qualified in 1992. I began my private practice as soon as I gained my Diploma in Podiatric Medicine and also gained valuable experience working within the NHS at Walsall Manor Hospital Podiatry department, community health centres and also looked after the domiciliary service for nursing and residential homes.
I have worked in the Sutton Coldfield area for many years and have treated many thousands of patients over the years. I can treat all foot problems and can refer you to a specialist if I feel your foot problem may need further investigation.
You may think your foot problem is the worst I will have seen, but believe me when I say it probably isn’t!!
Specialist in nail surgery
Although most problems tend to be corns and hard skin, I specialise in treating ingrowing toenails under local anaesthetic (nail surgery). This problem is very painful and can become infected very quickly.
A simple injection in the toe will numb it so that the nail can be removed painlessly. A chemical is then applied to kill the nail root so that it should not grow again, so the problem is cured.
